The Windmill Café now operates under the management of Norris Road State School, 5 days per week.
We employ a convener to manage the operation, but rely on volunteers to assist. Volunteers are needed to continue to provide this service to our students and any amount of time is greatly appreciated. The Cafe really does run on the strength of its volunteers, so if you're available and would like to have fun meeting other parents in the school community please come along. No experience is required, and the school greatly values your support.
The Café operates under the Healthy Choices Food and Drink Supply Strategy Guidelines for all schools.
The menu has a range of hot and cold healthy choices, sure to fancy all taste buds. Students may order from the Menu on the right of this page.
All Cafe volunteers, other than parents, are required to have a valid Working with Children Blue Card to ensure the safety of students. People wishing to volunteer at our cafe should apply as soon as possible as the Blue Card process takes up to eight weeks. (This process is tax deductible).
Student and Staff orders
Families and staff are encouraged to order using the Qkr! app or the bag and basket system each morning.
