Curriculum at Norris Road State School is currently determined by The Australian Curriculum in the subject areas of;

  • English

  • Mathematics

  • Science

  • HASS (Humanities and Social Sciences - (formally History and Geography))

  • Health and Physical Education

  • The Arts 

  • Technology

  • Language (Japanese)

The Australian Curriculum sets out the core knowledge, skills and capabilities that are important for all Australian students. It identifies what all young people should learn as they progress through schooling, and is the foundation for high quality teaching to meet the needs of all Australian students.

While implementing the Australian Curriculum in our classrooms, Norris Road State School teachers prioritise the teaching of literacy and numeracy.

We also consider and value the following factors:
